- ak.str.is_in(array, value_set, *, skip_nones=False, highlevel=True, behavior=None, attrs=None)#
- Parameters:
array – Array-like data (anything
ak.to_layout
recognizes).value_set – Array-like data (anything
ak.to_layout
recognizes), set of values to search for inarray
.skip_nones (bool) – If True, None values in
array
are not matched againstvalue_set
; otherwise, None is considered a legal value.highlevel (bool) – If True, return an
ak.Array
; otherwise, return a low-levelak.contents.Content
subclass.behavior (None or dict) – Custom
ak.behavior
for the output array, if high-level.attrs (None or dict) – Custom attributes for the output array, if high-level.
Returns True for each string in array
if it matches any pattern in
value_set
; otherwise, returns False.
Note: this function does not raise an error if the array
does not
contain any string or bytestring data.
Requires the pyarrow library and calls pyarrow.compute.is_in.
